Axe Capoeira
Grupo Axé Capoeira began in Recife in 1982. Today, as Canada's first academy of Capoeira, the Group continues to rise as one of the world's leading Capoeira organizations. Backed by worldwide releases of six albums of music on CD, several VHS and DVD performance releases and the four Volume Instructional DVD compilation, enrollment continues to steadily increase with over 8000 students from all over the world. The Group continues to travel around the world and participate in competitions and has participated in the 2001 International Capoeira Competition in Argentina. Furthermore, Grupo Axé Capoeira is renowned as a traveling group which promotes the history, music, art, and culture of Brazil in interactive and educational demonstrations.
Philosophy & Methodology
The philosophy of Grupo Axé Capoeira is to respect all the mestres, preserve the roots and traditions of Capoeira, and train Capoeira in all its aspects: as a fight, art, and culture. Groupo Axe Capoeira endeavors to teach and educate so that capoeira will grow in a positive healthy way. Axe Capoeira attempts to pass on to the students physical and mental methods of training so that they learn to create situations and maintain a dialogue within the game.
Objectives
Axé Capoeira is working hard to ensure that Capoeira has a strong future. Through research, travel and participating in events, Grupo Axe Capoeira hopes to increase the knowledge in the art and contribute to the evolution of Capoeira. Their goal is for Capoeira to be placed among the most widely practiced and respected martial art forms in the world.

Capoeira Brasil
During the late 1980s, as a result of different ideologies, many of Grupo Senzala's "Corda Vermelhas"/"Red Cords" (Grupo Senzala's highest graduation) left to pursue their own work. As such, Grupo Capoeira Brasil was inaugurated in the city of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in honor of the recent centennial of the abolishment of slavery in Brazil (see Lei Áurea). Under the supervision and blessing of its "padrinhos", or godfathers, Mestre Gato, Mestre Peixinho and Mestre Rafael Flores (founders of Grupo Senzala), Mestre Suassuna, Mestre Itapoã, Mestre Peixinho, and the late Mestre Ezekiel, Grupo Capoeira Brasil arose. Today, Grupo Capoeira Brasil had spread internationally with groups and instructors throughout Brazil, as well as, in the United States, France, Australia, Germany, Turkey, Africa, South America, French Guiana, The Netherlands, Hong Kong and New Caledonia.

Capoeira Luanda
Capoeira Luanda was founded on April 6, 2007, after a long process of study and research under the direction of master Jelon - USA. Capoeira Luanda aims to bring together the world of poultry a different proposal with respect to administration in a very democratic way; in a way that all its members have the autonomy to participate in the evolutionary process of Capoeira Luanda.
The name Luanda is a tribute to Mestre Eziquiel Martins, who in 1963 founded the Grupo Luanda de Capoeira in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Also, the name was inspired by the meaning of the name, which means "to join the Moon and Earth" in the Yoruba dialect and "Peace and Earth imagery" in the Bantu dialect. Luanda as the capital of Angola, was the most important port in the era of slavery and African market brought as slaves to America. Luanda was the city where the Africans gave his final farewell to Africa. So it was that Slave Market that started the richness of African culture in Brazil.
Capoeira Luanda it is a nonprofit charitable organization that seeks to operate in the dissemination and promotion of Capoeira and Brazilian-african cultures. It is also working in the formation of an awareness among children and adolescents, contributing to the positive psychosocial development, through the principles and movement of Capoeira. Starting from the perspective of capoeira as a form of appreciation of the manifestations of Brazilian popular culture, rich in meanings and possibilities, this association is justified by the importance that sport has a great help in the educational process.
