We have prepared a great selection of Berimbau and Berimbaus accessories that you can review below.
The basic, varnished model is made from premium biriba wood straight from the banks of Bahia. This unique combination give it the ability to be bent and strung with enough resistence to keep the wire taut and produce a full, solid sound.

Once you’ve played with a baqueta de tucum, you’ll never settle for anything less. No doubt you’ve heard of this legendary wood from Capoeira lyrics and folklore. Taken from the Brazilian tucum palm, tucum wood is naturally very hard and dense, strong enough make tucum knives, and consequently, very durable baquetas. Baquetas de tucum make it easy to command perfect tone from your berimbau, producing a crisp and full sound.
A popular item, this baqueta is made from bamboo, a strong and versatile wood perfect for making fine knitting needles, instrument reeds, and lucky for us, exceptionally straight baquetas that are both strong and durable. Bamboo baquetas will last longer than a basic baqueta and are carved and sized for optimal playing performance.
The perfect blend of asthetics and quality come together in our hand crafted caixixis. Handmade straight from Bahia, these premium caixixis are available in a variety of colors.
Cracked cabaças leave you with extra vergas? Don’t let them go to waste—choose from gunga, médio, and viola varnished cabaças to re-mix and marry with your verga collection. Like most Capoeiristas know, not every cabaça and verga can be thrown together to make a great berimbau, so we cannot guarantee that the cabaça(s) you receive will complement your verga(s) in size or sound. If you have extra vergas that can be mixed and matched to produce a good result, then an extra cabaça or two is just what you need. This selection of cabaças come from our same line of full-size, varnished berimbaus.
Ever take on a crowded demo balancing three vergas in one hand, with baquetas, caixixis, and cabaças elaborately interwoven through your fingers on the other? Look no further. These berimbau bags are made with the traveling Capoeirista in mind. Built with a sturdy nylon weave and synthetic leather caps, they can hold up to eight berimbaus and survive being tossed in the back of your car. An over-sized zipper top extends all the way to the top of the bag, making it a snap to take vergas in and out! Velcro pockets secure your baquetas and dobraõs for easy carrying, and we’ve even provided a clip on the reverse side to hang your cabaças and caixixis. Each berimbau bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap for added comfort. Choose the color that fits you best, or buy one to match your favorite street abadas!
